The Back Room
A curated cinematic experience — not a database.
Neon Undertones is what happens when the projector is still running at 2:30 a.m. Rain on the window. A record spinning. A warm lamp in the corner. Purple and orange neon reflected off polished wood.
It's a home for queer film and television, read closely — for the symbolism, the subtext, the personal analysis. Every entry is hand-curated. Every reading is a conversation you might have with a friend who has stayed up too late thinking about the same movie you did.
Over time, this project will grow: engineering builds inspired by film, electronics projects, prop recreations, and educational writing. The architecture here is built to carry all of it — one shelf at a time.
What's coming
- · Full film and television entries with real posters and stills
- · Per-episode readings for series
- · A signature "before you press play" line at the top of every entry
- · Engineering, electronics, and prop-build sections
The coffee's gone cold again — but the door is always open.
